TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
This adventure vacation is full of so much fun you are guaranteed to shed a tear when you leave. While the stunning beauty of it all is enough to make the most seasoned traveler jealous, the places we will take you and the activities we will do will blow your mind. These are just a FEW of the highlights!
Paddle boards were used during our scouting trip. We will have kayaks waiting for you at the glacier in July 2021.
Grewingk Glacier Hike & Paddle- Get out the bucket list! This once in a lifetime opportunity is a story you’ll tell for ages. We charter a private boat taxi from Homer to Kachemak Bay State Park. You are now in wild Alaska! A flat and beautiful two mile hike in delivers us to Grewingk Glacier. We’ll have a few stand up paddle boards with us if you’d like to get that once in a lifetime photo. This place is pure magic and a picnic lunch in this remote heaven will set your heart on fire! As always, we’ve got it all handled for you. Just wake up, show up and let the amazing begin!
Spa Relaxation Day - Adventure done right means time for rest and relaxation. You’ll be treated to three hours of spa day relaxation at Homer Inn & Spa. Take your time resetting and tapping into self as you slowly move between their Finnish Sauna, Eagle View Sky Deck, Reaction Rain Shower, Glacier Cold Plunge, Solar Tepidarium Mild-Sauna, Heated Loungers with Vibration Massage, Neck and Shoulder Massagers, Outdoor Hot Tub & Spacious Sundeck. Robes, towels and flip flops included. Have we even mentioned the view?! The whole place is on the oceans edge. Pure bliss. Done right.
Kayak Kenai Lake - When we recently visited Kenai Lake there was simply one word to describe this place. Majestic. It’s the most beautiful lake we’ve ever seen. And we’ve seen a lot of them. We’ll spend a few hours here kayaking and enjoying a picnic lunch on it’s shores. Keep an eye out for the bald eagles. You may just get a sense your soaring with them. Empowered. Strong. Living fully.
*We used stand up paddle boards during our scouting trip. Hence the photo.
Scenic River Float - The first day you’ll wake up to the sound of silence and that clean Alaskan air. We’re going to start your trip by immersing you in a relaxing float down the Kenai River to truly feel the beauty of this place. During our two hour tour you can just sit back and chill as our guides tell you all about the flora and fauna of the Cooper Landing area. You’re guaranteed to see bald eagles and a variety of trout and salmon. If we’re lucky…the beautiful brown bear may even grace us with her presence. Perfectly far enough away for comfort. LOL!
Hiking Wonderland - If you didn’t take a stroll or two through “The Last Frontier”…you’ve missed out! We’re going to do that and then some. The glacier hike alone is stunning but we’ll also be exploring other peaks and valleys. Some on planned group hikes and others available during your down time should you choose.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION
Horseback Trail Ride - On the flip side of our more adventurous days, we’ll take a peaceful ride through the country side with these beautiful animals as our guides. Another chance to relax and soak up the pure beauty of Alaska. Feel the warm sun on your skin. Listen to the silence of nature accompanied by the relaxing beat of hooves in stride. A perfect hour and a half ride with photo opportunities galore. Saddle up for this once in a lifetime experience!

FLOW STAFF / SOUL WARRIORS
Rob Macias - "The 7 days I spent in Alaska building this trip were nothing short of amazing. I’ve been fortunate to travel all over the world and couldn’t tell you the last time I was emotionally overwhelmed from the beauty of what I was seeing. Alaska is stunning! The locals love to welcome you. It’s a small town feeling everywhere. Of course the nature…..wow. I saw brown bears, bald eagles, beluga whales, sea otters, trout and multiple kinds of salmon. If you love the power of nature and small town vibes. You’re going to love Alaska. Sit back. Relax. Soak in the power. It’s a once in a lifetime kind of trip.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I’m over 50. Do you think I’ll fit in with the group?
Average age on all Flow trips is 45. That means on nearly every trip we have guests well into their 60’s. Age is not a factor. All you need is an adventurous spirit.
Do I have to know how to stand up paddle or do yoga?
Absolutely not. Our trips are designed to be accessible for everyone. We choose locations with flat waters and easy conditions. We have taught 1st time paddlers how to paddle on trips all over the world! And yoga….EVERYONE can do yoga! Trust us….a bit of peaceful focus and love to your body will be exactly what you need…when you need it.
What if I don’t have a roommate?
We always have solo travelers. We will call you to discuss your travel style in order to pair you with the best roommate of the same sex. If you’re an early riser we will pair you with someone similar. Our vacations tend to attract travelers of a similar mind set already. It’s very likely you could room with any guest and be completely content!
Are there men on your trips?
While we do have more women than men on most trips, everyone is welcome! Men, women, couples, singles. Black, white, brown, gay, straight and everyone in between! We are a love tribe. One world. One people.
What kind of shape do I need to be in?
Our trips are accessible for everyone. You don’t need to be an athlete or workout regularly. That being said the glacier hike does require the ability to hike 5 miles round trip in a day. That hike also includes a 600 foot elevation gain. Which isn’t far. However if you have bad knees, or any issues of that nature, then you may need to skip the Glacier hike. There are plenty of other amazing things to do and we can credit the cost of the Glacier hike toward booking you on an optional excursion.
